1. The Deal

By using AIShortGen at aishortgen.com, you are agreeing to these terms. If something here does not sit right with you, that is totally fair — but please do not use the service in that case. We want this to be a good relationship for both sides.

2. What AIShortGen Actually Does

AIShortGen is an AI video creation tool for short-form content. You give it a topic, pick a style, and it handles the rest: writing a script, generating a voiceover, picking footage, adding captions, and packaging everything into a downloadable MP4 ready for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts.

Think of it as your content teammate that never sleeps, never complains about revisions, and works in under 40 seconds.

3. Your Account

You need an account to use the service. Here is what we expect from you:

  • Use real info when you sign up — fake emails make everything harder
  • Keep your password to yourself (please do not share your login)
  • Tell us if someone else gets into your account
  • Be at least 18, or have a parent who is cool with it

Everything that happens under your account is on you. So treat your password like your Netflix login — guard it with your life.

4. Plans, Pricing, and Billing

We keep it simple:

  • Free: 3 lifetime video generations. Includes watermark, 30-second max. Good for kicking the tires.
  • Pro ($29/mo): Unlimited videos, no watermark, AI Scenes, all durations, priority processing. The full toolkit.

Pro is billed monthly in advance in USD. You are giving us (or our payment processor, Creem.io) the green light to charge your card every month until you cancel. Credits reset on your billing date — if you do not use them, they do not roll over. Use them or lose them.

5. Cancelling

Cancel whenever you want from your account settings. No phone calls, no guilt trips, no hoops to jump through. You keep Pro access until the end of whatever you already paid for. After that, you are back on the Free plan.

We do not do partial-month refunds unless our Refund Policy says otherwise.

6. What You Cannot Do

We built this tool to help people create useful short-form content. Please do not use it to:

  • Make anything illegal, defamatory, or designed to harass someone
  • Rip off someone else's work and call it yours
  • Spread misinformation on purpose — the world has enough of that already
  • Create content promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Break any laws in your country or jurisdiction

If we catch accounts doing any of the above, we reserve the right to suspend them without warning. We do not enjoy doing that, but we will if we have to.

7. Who Owns What

Simple version: your ideas are yours. The topics you type in belong to you. The AI-generated scripts, voiceovers, and assembled videos are licensed to you for personal and commercial use — post them on any platform, use them in ads, whatever you need.

Stock footage comes from Pexels under the Pexels License. Please play by their rules when using it.

The AIShortGen platform itself — the code, the design, the brand — that stays ours. We built it, we maintain it, we love it like a weird digital child.

8. Social Media Connections

You can connect YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok to publish directly from AIShortGen. When you do:

  • You are giving us permission to upload videos and read basic channel/profile info through those platforms' APIs
  • You confirm that the account you are connecting actually belongs to you
  • You acknowledge that each platform still has its own rules — if TikTok removes a video, that is between you and TikTok
  • We are not affiliated with YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. We just work well together.

Disconnect anytime from Settings. You can also revoke access directly from Google, Instagram, or TikTok account settings.

We are not responsible for what happens to content after you publish it. Once it is on their platform, their rules apply.

TikTok Integration

AIShortGen uses TikTok's official Login Kit and Content Posting API. By connecting your TikTok account, you agree to the following:

  • Login Kit: When you tap "Connect TikTok," you will be redirected to TikTok to authorize AIShortGen. We receive your basic profile info (open ID, display name, avatar, and username) to identify your account and show it in Settings. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
  • Content Posting: AIShortGen can post videos directly to your TikTok profile using the video.publish and video.upload scopes. Videos are only posted when you explicitly click "Post to TikTok" from the AIShortGen dashboard. We never post automatically or without your consent.
  • Content ownership: You own the content you create with AIShortGen. By posting to TikTok, you represent that your content complies with TikTok's Community Guidelines and TikTok's Terms of Service.
  • Privacy settings: Before each post, you will be asked to select a privacy level (Public, Friends, Only Me) in compliance with TikTok's posting requirements. AIShortGen does not override your privacy choices.
  • Commercial content: If your content promotes a brand or product, TikTok requires disclosure. AIShortGen provides content disclosure toggles (Your Brand / Branded Content) in the posting dialog, in compliance with TikTok's commercial content policies.
  • Revocation: You can disconnect TikTok at any time from Settings. Your tokens will be permanently deleted from our systems. You can also revoke access directly from the TikTok app under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions.

AIShortGen complies with the TikTok for Developers Terms of Service. We only access TikTok data and features that are necessary to provide the video publishing functionality described above.

9. Third-Party Services and AI Disclosure

AIShortGen is an independent platform that provides a custom interface built on top of third-party AI models and services. Under the hood, we use OpenAI for AI script and voice generation, ElevenLabs for premium voices, Pexels for stock footage, Supabase for data, Creem.io for payment processing, and the YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok APIs for publishing.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google, Meta, TikTok, or any other third-party provider. Each of those services has their own terms and privacy policies. We picked partners we trust, but their behavior is ultimately on them, not us.

All content generated through AIShortGen must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits NSFW, violent, hateful, and other harmful content.

10. The "No Promises" Section

We work really hard to make AIShortGen reliable or useful. But we cannot guarantee that every video will be perfect, that the AI will never say something weird, or that your reel will go viral. The service is provided "as is" — we do our best, but stuff happens.

AI-generated content might occasionally contain inaccuracies. Always review your scripts before publishing, especially for factual claims. You are the editor-in-chief of your own channel.

11. Liability Limits

To the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages from using AIShortGen. Our total liability for any claim is capped at whatever you paid us in the 3 months before the issue. This is standard stuff, but we want to be upfront about it.

12. Updates to These Terms

We might tweak these terms from time to time. If we make a big change, we will let you know via email or in-app notification. If we fix a typo, we will just fix it. By continuing to use the service after changes, you are accepting the updated version.

13. Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by applicable law. If we somehow end up in a dispute (we hope not), it gets resolved through arbitration or in a court with proper jurisdiction.
